I find myself not blogging often because I feel the need to have something "life changing" and "wonderfully impactful" to post. Then I overthink what I want to post and I get stressed out about it, which then leads me to just posting nothing at all. Easier, right? But then what? Nothing happens...just like many areas of our lives, we choose the easy road. We just don't do it! We know that deep down there is a burning desire or passion to try something or be consistent at something or improve in an area but we overthink it! We create anxiety about it before we even get to a point of seeing what the outcome would have been if we did try.
So what am I going to do about that? Try! Not care! Post anyway! Be real! Be IMPERFECT (gasp!)! I really feel that I need to share my heart, my struggles, my realness, my victories, my lessons and see what happens. Maybe it helps me, maybe it helps one other person, maybe it helps a lot of people. Either way....here I go!
My life has currently lead me to beautiful, sunny, hot Siesta Key, Florida for the 'winter.' I am currently sitting in my white rocking chair, with my puppy Bella next to me (for emotional support, of course), watching the yachts and boats go by on the Grand Canal Intercoastal waters while listening to my 3 children play and scream. The retired neighbors love us I bet. Their peace and quiet is now invade with the screams of excitement and arguing of my three. There are no other kids in this neighborhood at all! The first question I get from everyone we meet while on our dog walk is, "how do you work out the school for them?" with a dumbfounded, super confused look on their face. "Homeschool," I reply with a smile, in which I then get an array of different "friendly" responses....all in which I'm sure they are thinking other thoughts silently in their heads.
So, this is where I plan to fill these blog pages from. A place of escape, rest and total warmth and beauty.
I have a lot laid on my heart so I promise they will be good. I hope you will join me for the ride. I've had many suggestions sent to me in the past of what I should blog on. I plan to hit on a lot of those. Partnership, business, homeschool, being a mom and in business, health, fitness, marriage, etc. On top of that I have a lot to share on God. Growing in faith, the hills and the valleys. Social Media does a good job at allowing us to post our highlight reels of life. It allows us to edit and crop, filter and enhance. This is all wonderful but there is always more behind the photos, the "outtakes" the things we choose to keep and handle alone. I know many of you know what I'm saying. Those things are meant to be shared, to used as a testimony of how good God is. I am so thankful the writers of the Bible didn't choose to only write the good parts and leave out the struggles, the honesty and the raw/realness they faced. Thank God for those parts in the Bible.
So here we go. Hope you will join along with me! :)
